200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Join us for our new-format 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2025. An immersive course that will inspire and challenge you on a journey of self discovery.

Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is for aspiring yoga teachers, as well as for dedicated students wanting to deepen their knowledge and experience of the practice.

 

At Light Space Yoga our vision is to bring yoga to everyone in a caring and inclusive way,  with the deep wisdom and knowledge from the ancient Vedas and texts. And it is from a deep love of yoga and the benefits of the practice that we have developed our 200 hour teacher training course that integrates the ancient teachings with a modern and authentic approach.

 

Whether you plan to teach yoga or have a desire to dive deeper into your own personal practice and learn more, our training has been designed to be an uplifting experience of wisdom, inspiration, and knowledge.  

 

Our accredited course includes philosophy, asana, sequencing, pranayama, anatomy, ayurveda, prenatal yoga, and meditation.

 

Places are limited.

ACCREDITATION AND GRADUATION

In our comprehensive, immersive Yoga Teacher Training you’ll live and breathe yoga, and learn from our most senior yoga teachers who bring more than 5,000 hours of training, and decades of teaching experience combined.

 

To graduate from the 200-Hour YTT you will complete:

 

  • Practical assessments
  • Weekly homework assignments on specific course content
  • Final written examination

This course is fully accredited worldwide with Yoga Alliance International Registry.

THE DATES

Our course is part time over a 6 month period, with a hybrid of in-person weekend immersions and online lectures. The training has been mindfully designed to fit with your life and other commitments such as work and family. The course includes:

 

  • seven in-person weekends (Saturday and Sunday 9am to 6.30pm);
  • online lectures which are pre-recorded and are to be watched in your own time in preparation for the upcoming weekend immersions over the 6 month course; and
  • at-home study, homework, and class task.

Weekend 7 July 26th and 27th
Exam August 2nd (10am - 12pm)

Weekend hours are 9am to 6.30pm each day.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course is for aspiring yoga teachers, as well as for dedicated students wanting to deepen their knowledge and experience of the practice. And previous graduates of this course have been both…certain they wish to be a qualified yoga teacher, and also those who have commenced with the knowing that they are embarking on this journey purely for their own personal growth and learning.

So whether you plan to teach yoga or have a desire to dive deeper into your own personal practice and learn more, our training has been designed to be an uplifting experience of wisdom, inspiration, and knowledge.

THE VENUE

The course will take place at ‘White Space Yoga’ in Camberwell.

ATTENDANCE

In order to receive your 200 hour YTT certificate, you are required to be present for all sessions and yoga classes. If you do need to miss one session you may be able to make up the hours with homework but this is confirmed on a case by case basis and is not encouraged.

OUT OF CONTACT HOURS WORK

Each week you will receive homework and tasks. The estimated hours of study outside of the contact hours are approximately 2 hours per week, in addition to practicing at least one studio yoga class per week.

Susan

Susan is an experienced Master Yoga Teacher with over 15 years of teaching and thousands of hours of practice. She has drawn inspiration and training from many respected global yoga teachers, including Elena Brower, Seane Corn, Tiffany Cruikshank, Anand Mehrotra, Tara Judelle, Rod Stryker, Thom Knoles, and more. As a lifelong yogi and passionate student, Susan mentors with reverence, offering support and insight.

Susan will share tips and techniques gained from years of teaching. Together, you will uncover your unique gifts as a teacher, work through perceived obstacles, and refine your skills so you can teach with confidence and authenticity.

Lisa

Lisa is an incredibly experienced yoga teacher with thousands of hours of study and training since 1998. Lisa’s love of yoga was born in her late twenties after meeting an inspiring meditation master visiting from USA.  The flame of recognition of a greater purpose for life was kindled, embarking her on a pilgrimage to India to intensively study philosophy and yogic scripture, meditation and chanting, karma yoga and hatha yoga.  She has had the privilege of studying and training with many inspiring local and international teachers from a diverse range of yogic styles and traditions including Tara Judelle, Amy Ipolitti, Ross Rayburn, Lois Nesbitt, Sean Corne, and Sarah Powers.

She is so delighted and inspired to share her love of and passion for yoga through the Light Space Yoga Teacher Training program. Lisa will lead you in the Philosophy module of our 200 Hour Teacher Training.

Mimi

From the start of her yoga journey, Mimi has been committed to sharing what she’s learned, teaching with dedication and enthusiasm. Since 2013, Mimi has guided others on their yoga journeys, accumulating over 10,000 teaching hours, and has led yearly yoga retreats and teacher training programs, sharing her love for yoga with a growing community. Some of the most influential teachers who have shaped her journey include Duncan Peak, Dice lida-Klein, Briohny Smyth, Beyond , Simon Park, Jason Crandell, Will Lau, Jo Phee, Sarah Powers, Jonni Pollard, Anand Mehrotra, Tattva Yoga School and Miguel Santano, whose guidance has been invaluable in her development as both a practitioner and a teacher.
With nearly 2,000 hours of training, Mimi brings a wealth of knowledge to her students, always aiming to inspire and empower them. 
As she prepares to offer a mentorship course, she’s excited to help others deepen their practice and build their teaching skills. 

Grace

Grace was a doctor, long before she was a yoga teacher. After graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S), she practiced medicine as a Career Medical Officer for 8 years. Yoga principles had always been a part of her life, having been brought up in a Buddhist family, Grace learnt Vipassana and Metta meditation since she was 3 years old.

In 2015, Grace decided to pursue Yoga Teacher Training to deepen her self practice, in which she completed 350 hours with a Diploma of Yoga and Health Science. Grace has also trainined in Universal Yoga with Will Lau, Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Zenergy Yoga, and Post Natal Yoga Training with Bliss Baby.

Grace approaches yoga with respect, love and scientific enquiry. Grace will lead the Physiology components of our 200 Hour Teacher Training.

Lee

Lee has trained as both an Osteopath and Yoga Teacher. Starting life as a dancer, she found her passion for movement and fascination in anatomy from a young age. During her teenage years she was introduced to yoga by her Mum which inspired her to do her teacher training

Lee has graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and has completed her Masters of Osteopathy too. She works at two osteopathy clinics treating patients of all ages with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions and injuries. Anatomy is her bread and butter.

Lee approaches yoga through an anatomical lens, her practice is exploratory and inquisitive. As an eternal student, she is always looking for opportunities to learn and develop her practice. Lee will be taking the Anatomy components of our 200 hour Teacher Training.
