Just a 90 minute ferry ride from Athens, Hydra is full of cobblestone streets, traditional tavernas, brightly coloured doors, a crescent shaped harbour, & is known for its beauty and old world charm. There are no cars on the island (just donkeys)! It is a quiet rural island with unique beaches, & a bustling port full of moored yachts & Greek cafes.

Add to this stunning picture daily yoga in our private yoga room set against the Hotel Bratsera pool, daily meditation, coastal walks, healthy and delicious meals, swimming in the Mediterranean ocean, lying by the pool, time to journal, space to dream, complete indulgence, and lots of time just for you…and you have our 2024 Greece Yoga Retreat!

This incredible retreat will be led by Susan, and while there will be lots of yoga on offer, a focus of the retreat will be on indulging in the “Hydra” way; slowing down, and experiencing the beauty of Greece at its best.

You will start each day with a beautiful sunrise meditation practice by the ocean, followed by a slow flow/vinyasa yoga class where you will delve deep and expand your practice and awareness. After class, you’ll be served a scrumptious breakfast filled with Greek delights (have you experienced the deliciousness of traditional Greek yogurt?!) followed by plenty of time to indulge in ‘you’. Here, you can explore the island by foot, donkey or boat, visit one of the many divine beaches for a swim, lie by the pool, or maybe sit and journal at one of the many Greek cafes while you watch the activity on the beautiful Hydra port.

In the late afternoon, before you experience an amazing Greek sunset, you will indulge in the nurtured bliss of yin yoga, rejuvenating both body and mind. This is your opportunity to sink back into restorative and rejuvenating poses and relaxation.

A $50 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place in the retreat. A further $1,000 is due within 7 days of booking, and the balance of payment is due by 1st December 2023. Payment plans are also available.

ABOUT HOTEL BRATSERA

A charming small and authentic hotel on the island of Hydra, Greece.

Only two minutes walking distance from the port in a secluded courtyard with beautiful pool and walkways, you will find Hotel Bratsera. Bratsera’s rooms are quaint and individual in design with whitewashed walls and decorated with nautical memorabilia.

BEGINNER FRIENDLY

Yes! Susan is an experienced yoga teachers and all classes will cater for beginners through to advanced yogis.

The retreat will be the perfect way to develop your practice.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

The retreat schedule allows for plenty of free time. There’s plenty to do on the island, including:

exploring the island on foot
swimming in the many unique pebble beaches
enjoying some people watching in one of the port-side cafes while you sip on a traditional frappe
swimming off the cliff tops in the mediterranean ocean
hiking to the top of the island to experience the beautiful 360 degree views and much more.

ADDITIONAL TRAVEL COSTS & INFORMATION

You will need to purchase your own return flights to Athens, Greece. The retreat will start at 5.30pm on May 25, and the retreat will conclude at 10am on May 31 (check-out is by 12pm).
You will need to organise your own Travel Insurance
You will need to organise your own transport from Athens Airport to the Water Port, and organise your own transport from the Water Port on ferry to the Island of Hydra. We will give you all details at time of booking.
Your passport requires at least 6 months validity to travel overseas, so it should be valid until December 2024.

DIFFERENT ROOMS AVAILABLE

There’s three different room choices for you:

Single Room: Enjoy a quaint room to yourself!
Twin Share: Two to a room, either as a queen bed or two single beds.
Triple Share: Three to a room, including one queen bed and two singles, or 3 single beds.

Please note that you do not need to book with a friend or partner to secure a place in a Twin Share or Triple Share room. Just let us know your preference and, if possible, we will pair you up with another yogi!
