I’ve never done yoga before, which class should I attend?
We have lots of beginners who start with us at the studio. All of our classes are suitable for beginner students, and all of our teachers are experienced in offering modifications of different poses for new students, and more advance modifications or progressions for those with more experience.
However, we find that most new students prefer to start with our Basics, Slow Flow and Yin Classes, which are all slower paced than our Vinyasa Classes.
The Basics Classes are a really nice place to start. Those classes run on a 4 week cycle, and break down the fundamental and core poses in our yoga practice. You can start anywhere in the cycle, so you don’t have to wait for week one.
Because our Introductory Offer is for 28 days of unlimited yoga, you can get to each of the four different Basics Classes during your Introductory Offer which will give you a great base for your yoga practice.

What do I need to bring, and when should I arrive?
Mats: You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat. If you don’t have one, you are of course welcome to borrow one of our mats and wipe it down with disinfectant after class.
Water Bottle: Please bring your own water bottle.
Wear: We encourage you to wear light and fitted, comfortable clothes.
Arrive: Please arrive 10 minutes before class. To respect all students, classes start on time and the studio door is locked to avoid any disruption. Thank you for understanding.
When does my 28 days start on my introductory offer?
Our introductory offer for new students includes 28 days of unlimited yoga across all three of our beautiful studios as well as access to our livestreamed classes and on-demand video library for $28 – or $24 if you purchase on online using promo code $24ONLINE
Your 28 days starts from the date of your first booked class, and not from the date of your purchase. You can attend as many classes as you like during this period.
What happens after my introductory 28 days is finished?
After you finish your 28 day introductory offer there is no further commitment. If you enjoy your 28 days and wish to continue practicing at the studio, you have a few options. You can attend casually, purchase a 10 class pass, or become an Unlimited Member.
If you intend to practice once per week or more, we recommend the Unlimited Membership for $33 per week as the best value. As an Unlimited Member you can attend as many classes as you like in the studios, PLUS you receive access to our livestreamed classes and on-demand video library.
If you intend to practice once per week or less, we recommend our 10 class pass which gives you 10 classes that can be used over a 4 month period for in-studio and livestreamed classes.
What does ‘unlimited yoga’ mean?
Our introductory offer is for 28 days of unlimited yoga. This means that, from the date of your first class with us, you can attend as many classes as you like at all of our studios over the next 28 day period.
Similarly, our Unlimited Membership allows you to attend as many classes as you like at all 3 of our studios plus our Online Studio during the period of your membership.
My Membership
Can I freeze my unlimited membership?
Yes, you can freeze your Unlimited Membership. Here’s how it works:
- Duration: You may freeze your membership for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time, with a maximum of 12 weeks allowed within any 12-month period. Each freeze must be for a set number of whole weeks (e.g., 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc).
- Notice Period: We ask that you submit your freeze request at least 3 business days before the freeze period begins.
- Account Balance: Please ensure your account balance is up to date before your freeze starts.
- How to Request: To freeze your Unlimited Membership, simply complete the Freeze Request Form.
Can I cancel my unlimited membership?
Yes, you can cancel your Unlimited Membership. Here’s how it works:
- Notice Period: We ask that you submit your cancellation request at least 3 business days before your proposed cancellation date.
- Account Balance: Please ensure your account balance is up to date at the time of your request.
- How to Cancel: To cancel your membership, simply complete the Cancellation Request Form.
Please note that if a payment is processed within the 3-day notice period, your membership will remain active for the corresponding billing period. For example, if a fortnightly debit is processed 2 days before your requested cancellation date, your membership will remain active until the end of that fortnight.
I’m an Unlimited Member. How do I access to the On-Demand Video Library?
Our On-Demand Video Library is available to Unlimited Members and to our Intro Offer holders and can be accessed in two ways:
- Via Your Browser: Browse our full collection of videos in the On-Demand Video Library here, select your preferred video and, when prompted, log in to your account using your username and password to gain access. If you have forgotten your password, click ‘Forgot your password?’.
- Via Our Light Space Yoga App: Download our app for free from the App Store or Google Play by searching for ‘Light Space Yoga’. Once downloaded, log in using your account details, click the “On-demand” tab and then select your preferred video from the library.
How do I access livestreamed classes?
Accessing our livestreamed classes is easy and allows you to join us from wherever you are. Here’s how:
1. Book Your Class: If you are joining the live class from your desktop web browser, click here to book a livestreamed class. If you are booking via our app, browse the class schedule, filtering by ‘Livestream’, select your preferred class, click ‘Book Now’ and then follow the prompts to finalise your booking.
2. Join the Class: There are a number of different ways to join a livestreamed class.
- If you are joining the class from your iPhone, iPad or Android device, you will need to download the Zoom app. This app is free to download and yoou don’t need too create an account.
- One hour before the class, you will receive an email containing the Zoom link and key details for the livestreamed class. When you receive that email, click on the Zoom link and follow the prompts to join the class.
- Alternatively via our app, simply tap on your booked livestream class under the ‘Upcoming for you’ heading, and then tap on the zoom link to join the class. The class will go live approximately 5 minutes before the class start time.
Is your payment processor, or direct debit provider, secure?
Yes, our direct debit provider is safe and secure. We use Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd, a globally trusted payment processor that complies with the highest industry standards for payment security. Stripe ensures:
- Data Encryption: All payment information is encrypted during transmission to protect your personal and financial details.
- PCI Compliance: Stripe is certified to the highest level of PCI compliance, meaning your payments are handled with top-tier security protocols.
Fraud Prevention: Advanced tools and monitoring systems help protect against fraudulent activity.
Account
How do I update my payment details?
You can update your payment details quickly and easily through our website or our app.
Via our website:
- Click here to log in to your account. Use the email address associated with your account and your password to log in. If you can’t remember your password, click the ‘Forgot Your Password?’ link on the login page. Follow the prompts to reset your password.
- Once logged in, click on ‘My Account’ located in the bottom left corner of your dashboard. Here, you can add a new payment method or edit existing details.
Via our app:
- From the app, tap on the ‘Account’ icon located at the bottom right corner of the app.
- Here, you can add new payment details (but you cannot edit existing details from the app)
How do I login into my account?
Logging into your account online is quick and easy. Here’s how:
- Login page: Click here to log in to your account.

- Forgot Your Password? If you can’t remember your password, click the ‘Forgot Your Password?’ link on the login page. Follow the prompts to reset your password.

Once you have downloaded the app, you will be able to login using the email address associated with your account and your password to log in.

General
Do I need to book to attend a class in the studios?
Booking ahead is the best way to secure your spot and make your arrival seamless. However, our studios are spacious and it’s not compulsory – so you’re welcome to ‘walk in’ and join without booking.
To book a class:
- Book online or via our app: Browse our class schedule, select your preferred class, and click ‘Book Now’ and then follow the prompts to finalise your booking.
- Arrive Early: Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class to settle in. Classes start promptly, and the studio door is locked once class begins to ensure a peaceful practice.
If you book a class but can’t make it, please cancel via our website or app at least 2 hours before the class starts to free up the spot for others.
What is your minimum age to attend the studio?
Our minimum age to practise yoga is 13 years old. For students who are under 18 years old, we require parents to complete and sign their child’s registration form, and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We are not currently offering ongoing kids yoga classes (watch this space!) but we do run one-off Kids Yoga Holiday Workshops during school holidays. Keep an eye on our Instagram or our Upcoming Workshops page for when these are available.
I’m pregnant and haven’t done much yoga before. When can I start attending class, and can I attend general classes?
With your doctor’s ok and post 13-weeks, we recommend that you attend our prenatal classes and not our general timetabled classes. The prenatal course is a rolling course and you can start on any Sunday that suits you. We also have prenatal and postnatal classes on our Online Studio.
Can I bring my mobile phone onto the mat with me?
The studios are a mobile-free zone and we ask that you leave your mobile phone in your bag in the reception area (switched off).
Do you offer hot yoga?
Our classes are not Hot Yoga classes. Our studios are warmed to about 24 degrees which is a comfortable and pleasant temperature. All our class styles can be found here.
Where is the best place to park?

Can I attend all studios?
Yes, all of our passes and memberships can be used at of Balwyn, Mitcham and Ivanhoe studios.
Do you offer Kids Yoga classes?
We are not currently offering ongoing kids yoga classes (watch this space!) but we do run one-off Kids Yoga Holiday Workshops during school holidays. Keep an eye on our Instagram or our Upcoming Workshops page for when these are available.
Gift Cards
How do I redeem my gift card?
If you’ve never practised with us and don’t have an existing account, you will need to sign up for one here first.
To redeem a monetary gift card, click the buy button for the pass you wish to purchase or book a class, using your app or web browser as normal, and at checkout, enter the voucher code that was sent via email in to the ‘promo code’ box. The amount will be deducted from your gift card. If there is a remaining value to be paid for your class/classes the app will prompt you to pay the remainder via card.
If you were gifted an Intro Offer, 10 Class Pass, or Casual Class Pass, it will be automatically added to your account and ready for use.
Where do I enter my gift card, discount or promo code?
At the checkout page for any purchase, you’ll see a field labelled ‘Gift Card’, ‘Discount’ or ‘Promo code’. Enter your gift card number, discount code or promo code in this field to apply your reduced pricing.
