Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Join us for our 50 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training in March 2025. 

The Course

Our training has been created for both qualified Yoga Teachers and also for those who wish to dive deeper into the science behind Yin Yoga enhancing a personal practice and curiosity about the history of Yin Yoga and its benefits.

This immersive in-person course will take you on a journey of self-discovery that will give you all the tools to either teach Yin Yoga or be a more knowledgeable practitioner of Yin Yoga.

Led by the experienced Senior teachers Susan Mitchell and Lee Hoogeveen. Lee, our resident Osteopath brings incredible anatomical knowledge and expertise associated with Physiology, anatomy, and fascia. 

Our course is designed to give you the skills, confidence and knowledge to teach Yin Yoga.

Accreditation and Graduation

Our Yin Yoga Teacher Training is open to everyone, and no previous teaching experience is required.

If you are not already qualified as a yoga teacher, you may still complete this training to deepen your knowledge and experience of Yin Yoga, however, in completing this training, you are not qualified to teach yoga to adults unless you have completed a minimum 200-hours Yoga Teacher Training Course.

To graduate from the 50-Hour Yin Training you will complete:

  • Practical assessments
  • Homework assignments on specific course content

This course is fully accredited worldwide with Yoga Alliance International Registry.

 

 

Dates and Times

March 15 – March 23,  2025

The training will be held in-person over two weekends, and one Thursday evening.

  • Weekend 1: March 15th and 16th (9am to 6pm)
  • Thursday evening: March 20th (6pm-10pm)
  • Weekend 2: March 22nd and 23rd (9am to 6pm)

The course will take place at ‘White Space Yoga’ in Camberwell.

Important Info

Attendance

  • In order to receive your 50 hour Yin Teacher training certificate, you are required to be present for all sessions and yoga classes. If you do need to miss one session you may be able to make up the hours with homework but this is confirmed on a case by case basis and is not encouraged.

Out of Contact Hours Work

  • You will receive homework and tasks. The estimated hours of study outside of the contact hours are approximately 6 hours per week.

Susan

Susan is an experienced Master Yoga Teacher with over 15 years of teaching and thousands of hours of practice. She has drawn inspiration and training from many respected global yoga teachers, including Elena Brower, Seane Corn, Tiffany Cruikshank, Anand Mehrotra, Tara Judelle, Rod Stryker, Thom Knoles, and more. As a lifelong yogi and passionate student, Susan mentors with reverence, offering support and insight.

Susan will share tips and techniques gained from years of teaching. Together, you will uncover your unique gifts as a teacher, work through perceived obstacles, and refine your skills so you can teach with confidence and authenticity.

Lee

Lee has trained as both an Osteopath and Yoga Teacher. Starting life as a dancer, she found her passion for movement and fascination in anatomy from a young age. During her teenage years she was introduced to yoga by her Mum which inspired her to do her teacher training

Lee has graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and has completed her Masters of Osteopathy too. She works at two osteopathy clinics treating patients of all ages with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions and injuries. Anatomy is her bread and butter.

Lee approaches yoga through an anatomical lens, her practice is exploratory and inquisitive. As an eternal student, she is always looking for opportunities to learn and develop her practice. Lee will be taking the Anatomy components of our 200 hour Teacher Training.
