Set at the foot of the stunning Himalayas on the banks of The Ganges river, Rishikesh, located in Northern India is known as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’. The land of the Rishi’s is where light bulb moments happen!
Our ‘Dance of The Deities India Retreat’ with Susan, including daily yoga, local excursions, and inclusive of all meals, will explore and dive into the ancient wisdom of the deities – Strength and courage of Durga, overcoming fear with Kali, wisdom of Ganesha, abundance of Laksmi, and creativity of Saraswati. We will delve into the heartland of the tradition through the ancient wisdom of these gods and goddesses.
We will explore temples, caves and ashrams in the Himalayas, including the famous Beatles Ashram. We will connect to our deepest self through rituals and symbolism. This retreat is an immersion of creativity, spirituality, and magic.
Staying at the Divine Hotel Resort in Rishikesh overlooking the Ganges River, imagine starting each day with a morning meditation from our yoga shala with the magic energy of the Himalayas. Followed by a vinyasa class to explore the devas and deities in our bodies.
After class, expect a delicious healthy breakfast followed by an excursion to one of the many extraordinary sites we will visit in and around Rishikesh.
We will return for lunch and allow time to rest, have a massage or treatment and maybe a wander or shop around Rishikesh. Every afternoon at 5pm – 6.30pm we will meet for a yin and meditation class to allow the senses to absorb the experience of the day in body and mind.

The retreat schedule allows for plenty of free time. There’s plenty to do, including:

- Swimming in the Ganga! Yes it’s clean in this part of The Ganges as we are situated at the foot of Himalayas

- Shopping and sight seeing
ADDITIONAL TRAVEL COSTS & INFORMATION
- You will need to purchase your own international return flights to Delhi, India, as the price includes domestic flights only. The retreat will start at 5pm on February 2, and check-out is 11am on February 8.
- You will need to organise your own Travel Insurance
- You will need to organise and purchase visa to enter India.
- Your passport requires at least 6 months validity to travel overseas, so it should be valid until August 2026.
- Due to Rishikesh being a holy city, please note that the entire retreat will be alcohol-free and vegetarian.
