Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is for aspiring yoga teachers, as well as for dedicated students wanting to deeper their knowledge and experience of the practice.
At Light Space Yoga our vision is to bring yoga to everyone in a caring and inclusive way, with the deep wisdom and knowledge from the ancient Vedas and texts. And it is from a deep love of yoga and the benefits of the practice that we have developed our 200 hour teacher training course that integrates the ancient teachings with a modern and authentic approach.
Whether you plan to teach yoga or have a desire to dive deeper into your own personal practice and learn more, our training has been designed to be an uplifting experience of wisdom, inspiration, and knowledge.
Our Yoga Alliance accredited course includes philosophy, asana, sequencing, pranayama, anatomy, ayurveda, prenatal yoga, and meditation.

In our comprehensive, immersive Yoga Teacher Training you’ll live and breathe yoga, and learn from our most senior yoga teachers who bring more than 5,000 hours of training, and decades of teaching experience combined.
To graduate from the 200-Hour YTT you will complete:
Upon successful completion of the full course, you will receive a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training accreditation from Yoga Alliance, allowing you to apply to be an internationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance.

The training will be part time and face-to-face over a 3 month period. In the event of COVID-19 restrictions we will offer the course online.

Our course is designed to give the you the skills, confidence and knowledge to teach yoga. But more than that, you will be inspired and challenged and evolve on a journey of self discovery. Our course modules include:
The course will take place at ‘White Space Yoga’ in Camberwell. All day parking is available on the corner of Spencer Road and Matlock Street. There are also 2 train stations within walking distance.
There is a course requirement to practice one class per week at either our Balwyn, Mitcham or Ivanhoe studios.

Upon acceptance, payment via EFT of a $500 deposit is required to confirm your place. The balance of payment is due by January 31th 2022. Payment plans are available.
Susan is the co-founder of Light Space Yoga with her Daughter, Clare, and has been a practitioner and advocate of yoga for over 30 years. Her love started at an early age, trying many different styles of yoga over the years. There was always interest and passion for alternative health and wellbeing, and personal growth has always been important.
Susan is a trained Naturopath, Homoeopath and devoted Vedic Meditator and the path into yoga teaching in 2009 developed from the natural fit of physical health, mental wellbeing and the mind, body and spirit connection.
As a passionate and dedicated teacher, Susan has been honoured to learn from world renowned mentors and teachers, including Elena Brower, Maharishi (or pre-eminent master – teacher), Thom Knoles, Master Anand Mehrotra, Seane Corn, Tara Judelle, Dr. Scott Lyons, and Rod Stryker.
In our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, Susan is the Teacher Training Lead Facilitator, and will lead you in the Meditation, Yin Yoga, Teaching Priciples, and Energetic Systems modules.
Clare is the co-founder of Light Space Yoga. In 2009, whilst still working in a full-time Marketing Manager role at Adidas, she embarked on a 350 hour teacher training with the Australian Yoga Academy, with her Mother, Susan. After the birth of her first child in 2012, with her husband and her Mother by her side, they open their first Light Space Yoga studio in Balwyn, followed by Mitcham in 2014, and Ivanhoe in 2016.
Clare is a proud Mum of 4 beautiful boys, and is passionate about the impact that yoga can bring to your life, and to the people closest to you. Clare believes that yoga can change how you move through life – how you parent, how you respond to challenges and stresses, and even how you experience joy.
As a passionate and dedicated teacher, Clare has been honoured to learn from world renowned mentors and teachers, and has enjoyed immersions with Sean Corne, Tiffany Cruikshank, Tara Judelle, and Bryan Kest.
In our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, Clare will lead you in the Prenatal module and the Business of Yoga module.
Lisa is an incredibly experienced yoga teacher with thousands of hours of study and training since 1998. Lisa’s love of yoga was born in her late twenties after meeting an inspiring meditation master visiting from USA. The flame of recognition of a greater purpose for life was kindled, embarking her on a pilgrimage to India to intensively study philosophy and yogic scripture, meditation and chanting, karma yoga and hatha yoga. She has had the privilege of studying and training with many inspiring local and international teachers from a diverse range of yogic styles and traditions including Tara Judelle, Amy Ipolitti, Ross Rayburn, Lois Nesbitt, Sean Corne, and Sarah Powers.
She is so delighted and inspired to share her love of and passion for yoga through the Light Space Yoga Teacher Training program. Lisa will lead you in the Philosophy module of our 200 Hour Teacher Training.
Mimi often says that yoga has taken her to so many places. She found her inner strength when she began yoga in 2012. From it, she discovered that she no longer needing to hide from the crowd. Yoga gave her the personal freedom and confidence to express herself on and off the mat. And the asana practice of arm balances and inversions has captured her for years. She simply loves to be upside down and to fly.
Since completing hr Yoga Teacher Training with Power Living in 2013, she has immsersed herself in over 700 hours of addition training with Bryce Yoga, Sattva Yoga Acedemy, Simone Park, Jason Crandell, Will Lau, Jo Phee, Sarah Powers, and Jonni Pollard.
In our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, Mimi will lead you in the Asana module.
Grace was a doctor, long before she was a yoga teacher. After graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S), she practiced medicine as a Career Medical Officer for 8 years. Yoga principles had always been a part of her life, having been brought up in a Buddhist family, Grace learnt Vipassana and Metta meditation since she was 3 years old.
In 2015, Grace decided to pursue Yoga Teacher Training to deepen her self practice, in which she completed 350 hours with a Diploma of Yoga and Health Science. Grace has also trainined in Universal Yoga with Will Lau, Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Zenergy Yoga, and Post Natal Yoga Training with Bliss Baby.
Grace approaches yoga with respect, love and scientific enquiry. Grace will lead the Physiology components of our 200 Hour Teacher Training.
Bobby’s first step of his yoga journey began by leaving an unfulfilled career in the construction industry, that decision also instigated a move from Perth to Melbourne at the end of 2014 where he embarking on his first 200Hr Teacher Training. Since then he has also been honoured to learn from world renowned mentors and teachers, including Rod Stryker, Octavio Salvado, Brad Hay, Hugh Lee and Abby Fox.
Most recently Bobby travelled to India to complete his 300Hr yoga training with master teacher Anand Mehrotra. Bobby says that this was an incredibly transformative experience and deepened my knowledge of all things yoga. A major component of this training was learning a variety of breathwork practices and Himalayan Kundalini Kriya Yoga techniques. Since then he has continued to study with Sattva Yoga by embarking on an 18 day journey of studying the ancient wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.
Bobby feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to sit, study, and practice with some of the world’s most masterful yoga teachers to learn a variety of teaching styles. By devoting his time to and studying the science of yoga he has committed to always being a student and feel incredibly grateful to be able to share these practices with the greater community.
In our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, Bobby will lead you in the topics of Mudras, Bandhas, Kriyas, Pranayama, and Yoga Nidra.
Lee has trained as both an Osteopath and Yoga Teacher. Starting life as a dancer, she found her passion for movement and fascination in anatomy from a young age. During her teenage years she was introduced to yoga by her Mum which inspired her to do her teacher training
Lee has graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and has completed her Masters of Osteopathy too. She works at two osteopathy clinics treating patients of all ages with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions and injuries. Anatomy is her bread and butter.
Lee approaches yoga through an anatomical lens, her practice is exploratory and inquisitive. As an eternal student, she is always looking for opportunities to learn and develop her practice. Lee will be taking the Anatomy components of our 200 hour Teacher Training.
With a lifelong spirit of adventure, Tim has a deeply rich experience of life. Vedic Meditation gradually wove itself into Tim’s life nearly 50 years ago, after learning the technique at 18 years of age. Tim graduated in Rishikesh, India in 2005 to be an Initiator of Vedic Meditation under Thom Knoles.
Tim is credited in several other areas of Vedic Knowledge as well. He holds Diplomas in Svastha Yoga 2004 (A.G.Mohan), Dynamic Yoga 2012 (Godfri Deveaux), as well as an Ayurvedic Consultant 2014. His passion for this has led to many certificates of study (including with Dr Sunil Joshi, 200 hrs) in India and in Australia totalling more than 500 hours. For the last 28 years, he has been conducting Ayurvedic Seminars throughout Australia and in the last 12 years around the world. He is known for his practical, simple yet profound style of presentations, based on his long experience, both as a meditator, a practitioner, and from his life experience.
