New Students

Classes to suit all yogis

All of our classes are suitable for beginner students. Our teachers are all experienced in offering modifications of different poses for beginner students, and more advanced modifications or progressions for the more experienced yogis. However, we find that most students that are new to yoga prefer to start with our Basics ClassesSlow Flow and Yin, which are all slower paced than our Vinyasa classes.

Our basics program

Our Basics Classes run on a 4-week cycle and break down the fundamentals and core poses found in our yoga classes. You can join the program at any time, even if you start after Week 1. Best of all, you can repeat the program as many times as you like so you can really get your confidence up!

The 4-week cycle focuses on:

  • Week 1: Sun Salutations
  • Week 2: Foundation Standing Postures
  • Week 3: Foundation Floor Postures and Twists
  • Week 4: Backbends and Inversions

Because our Intro Offer for new students is 28 days of unlimited yoga, you can attend all 4 of the Basics Classes during your introductory period!

Preparing for class

  • Drink plenty of water before class
  • Avoid eating a heavy meal 2 hours before class
  • Wear light but fitted clothes
  • There’s no need to book. Just arrive 10-15 minutes before class to sign in. If you’d prefer to book in for your classes though, please just click here and select your preferred studio.
  • To respect all students, classes start on time and the studio door is locked to avoid any disruption. Thank you for understanding.

What to bring

  • Wear light and fitted clothes
  • Bring a water bottle
  • If you have your own yoga mat, then we’re sure you’ll want to bring it with you. If you don’t have a mat, then you can use one of ours (which is complimentary on your first visit, and $1 to hire for all other visits)
  • Bring a small hand towel (if you wish)
