We invite you to join us and experience the wonder and charm of Mother India. Set at the foot of the stunning Himalayas on the banks of The Ganges river, Rishikesh, is known as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’. The land of the Rishi’s is where light bulb moments happen!
Our ‘Dance of The Deities India Retreat’ will explore and delve into the ancient wisdom of the deities – Strength and courage of Durga, overcoming fear with Kali, wisdom of Ganesha, abundance of Laksmi, and creativity of Saraswati.
We will delve into the heartland of the tradition through the ancient wisdom of these gods and goddesses. We will explore temples, caves and ashrams in the Himalayas, including the famous Beatles Ashram. We will connect to our deepest Self through rituals and symbolism. An immersion of creativity, spirituality, and magic.
Imagine starting each day with a morning meditation watching the sunrise over the Himalayas and Ganges, from our yoga shala. Followed by a slow flow/vinyasa class to explore the devas and deities in our bodies.
After class, expect a delicious healthy breakfast on the terrace overlooking Mother Ganga and the Himalayas followed by an excursion to one of the many extraordinary sites we will visit in and around Rishikesh.
We will return for lunch and allow time to rest, have a massage or treatment and maybe a wander or shop around Rishikesh. Every afternoon at 5pm-6.30pm we will meet for a yin and meditation class to allow the senses to absorb the experience of the day in body and mind.
The retreat will start at 6pm on February 10, and check-out will be 12pm on February 16, 2020.
